The USNWC has limitless possibilities for fun. You can find whitewater rafting, kayaking, trails, biking, rappelling, rock climbing and so much more. If you’re looking for a more laid back vibe you can grab some food and a local craft brew and sit by the water and watch it all happen. Thursday through Saturday nights, the USNWC features River Jam so you can sit on the lawn and enjoy local live music. Best part? 3. Sugar Creek Greenway & Freedom Park – Charlotte, NC
The Greenway is currently being renovated and the idea is for it to connect 19 miles of trails and land connectors; it connects the urban life of the city with the quieter parts of nearby neighborhoods. It’s a great place to unwind during a run or walk. Charlotte also has bikes and scooters placed around the city, and it’s as easy as downloading an app to ride one. 4. Charlotte Knights Game – Uptown Charlotte, NC
The Charlotte Knights play at BB&T Ballpark which has amazing views of the Uptown Charlotte skyline. They’re a minor league baseball team and the Triple-A affiliate of the Chicago White Sox. You can enjoy a hot dog and a local Carolina craft beer while taking in the views of the city. 5. Alive After 5 @ Rooftop 210 – Charlotte, NC
Alive After 5 is hosted at one of Charlotte’s rooftop bars in the Epicenter, right in the heart of Uptown Charlotte. It’s every Thursday and is known as Charlotte’s largest weekly happy hour and free entertainment celebration.
